Team Member Opportunities
Part Time Respite Support Provider
Respite Support Worker will support a group of adults of all abilities. The Respite Support Worker will assist Abode Respite Member's participate in monthly programming and lots of community inclusion to the best of their ability. The Respite Support Worker must understand that they are an independent contractor and will act as a part of a team working with Abode'e Members using group respite services, their family, and other Abode Respite Team Members.
10-20/scheduled hours weekly Monday-Friday, plus call-in opportunities.
Post Secondary Education in related field
Experience supporting people of all abilities
CPR First Aid Certification
Valid Vulnerable Sectors Police Clearance
Valid Ontario Drivers License
**Food Handlers Certificate considered an asset
The applicant must be compassionate
The applicant must use People First language
The applicant must firmly believe in celebrating people of all abilities, and fostering an inclusive community

Gently used games, garden supplies, craft and office supplies, and grocery bags are graciously accepted on a regular basis.
Abode Respite is in need of purchasing a van to better support our members and are actively seeking to open a respite home in Essex to support members in our community 24/7.Any financial assistance in this mission is greatly appreciated.
