Clubhouse Committee

The Clubhouse Committee is made up of members of all abilities that show leadership, have a passion for advocacy and want to contribute to an inclusive society by increasing opportunities for our members in the community and socially within the Clubhouse.

The Clubhouse Committee representatives  focus on :

-Abode's Pay-It Forward projects within the community

-Bring awareness to the community on societal barriers against people living with a disability

-Breaking down societal barriers against people living with a disability

- Host social events at the Clubhouse for the membership

- Fundraising where 100% of the proceeds go back to the Clubhouse Committee operational budget

The Clubhouse Committee representatives will meet twice monthly and host social events for our membership.

Qualifications:

The applicant must be at least 18 years of age or older.

The applicant must be able to vote on committee ideas and events. Accessibility requirements will be met to the best of our ability.

The ideal committee member would:

show leadership in their day to day life;

have a passion for advocating for people living with a developmental disability;

want to contribute to an inclusive society by increasing opportunities for people of all abilities.
